You may have heard about power washing or pressure washing, but have you heard about soft washing? Power or pressure washing uses high-pressure water spray to clean mold, mildew, grime, dirt, mud, gum, paint, and algae from surfaces and objects such as vinyl siding, wooden decks, buildings, vehicles, and concrete surfaces. Many homeowners use power washing as a method for cleaning their dirty pool decks after a long, cold winter or to clean a wooden deck before staining.
A common misconception by homeowners is they think that using high pressure is the only way to get things cleaned. In some cases, it may be true, but in most cases it is not true. For example, when power washing vinyl siding, too much pressure will force water behind the siding of your home causing mold and mildew problems. Using high pressure to wash a deck can cut into the wood grains, which leave marks on the deck that will be visible even after applying a sealer or stain. Instead of pressure washing, there is a safer alternative.
What is Soft Washing?
Soft washing is a cleaning method that uses lower pressure (under 1000 PSI) and specialized chemicals (typically bleach, water, and surfactants) to safely remove mildew, bacteria, algae, and other organic growths from your home exteriors. The biodegradable chemicals used during the cleaning process won’t damage your home or surrounding landscape. Using low pressure ensures your home will not be damaged during the process.
We always stick to soft washing because it is:
